The motto of the Batey Foundation Somos El Cambio reminds each of us that little things are big things. Small gestures create great change.
Join us and be the change that educates, heals, builds leadership, opportunity, and resilience for the people of the Batey communities of the Dominican Republic.

7 Easy Steps to Help You Create a Cambio Jar and Be the Change
1. Find a large jar or container that can easily hold a lot of change.
If the jar/container has a lid, cut a hole out for the change to be dropped in through. If there is no lid you can use fabric and a rubber band for the lid (cut a slit in the fabric for the coins to be dropped in through).
2. Decorate your jar/container so it is pleasing to the eye and attracts people.
4. Contact a local bookstore, cafe, school, community building, business, etc. about keeping your cambio jar there for the month of March.
5. Once you have chosen your location email us with your name and where the jar/container is located. (sasha@thebateyfoundation.org) so we know that you have joined the challenge.
6. At the end of the month pick up the jar and go to a bank or change machine, turn it into cash, and send it to:
